As I state on the website, there are many other relevant criteria when selecting a school. Matriculation statistics are certainly not irrelevant, and they are interesting and fun, but don't let them overshadow other very important components of this important decision. Take this list with a grain of salt, but this is just my opionion. Keep in mind this is not based off any stats. And if i had to add 1 more school on there it would be Episcopal! Im not going there but I love the school. Like Helpful ReplyShare on Facebook

I've also watched you regularly post disclaimers stating that "there are many other relevant criteria when selecting a school." Unfortunately, we Americans are obsessed with "Best Of" designations and stats are more important to the typical CC Prep Schoolers and their parents than unquantifiable differences. It would be an interesting study to examine the decision process of 20 families whose children were academically advanced and emotionally secure, but who knew nothing about boarding schools, make decisions based only on interviews, visits, revisits, talking to alumni etc. I wonder if their choices would reflect the spread of your Best Of list. Perhaps, but perhaps not. Like Helpful ReplyShare on Facebook

L'ville is celebrating it's 200th anniversary this year. It is closer to NYC. On top of it all, it is in NJ. Like Helpful ReplyShare on Facebook

And Blueraven, don't get me wrong, I think Groton is a great school, but St. Georges is hard to beat. Like Helpful ReplyShare on Facebook

St. Georges: Average SAT Score 1900, Endowment Size $115 million, Average Percentile SSAT 81%. Don't know how they rank matric wise. *all stats are from Boarding School Review* I know I'm vehnemently defending Groton but I feel it gets slighted on this board quite a bit. Even though it may not get the attention the HADES get, that doesn't make it not as good. It is a good school, and good luck there next year! Like Helpful ReplyShare on Facebook

I guess I feel a little slighted seeing as I was accepted to HADES as well and Groton had just as low acceptance rates. Like Helpful ReplyShare on Facebook
