Lutheran High School of Orange County is a private Lutheran high school in Orange, California in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, founded in 1973. The school offers traditional, online and hybrid schedules for its students.

International Students (both F-1 and J-1 visas), grades 9-10, who are prepared to mainstream into regular classes, are welcome to apply for admission to Orange Lutheran High School. This opportunity allows students to study and acquire an American education from a top private high school in Southern California. Orange Lutheran issues I-20 status to students who meet all general admission requirements and who are willing to live with a host family during their stay. Orange Lutheran offers college preparatory academics, including 18 Advanced Placement and 20 Honors courses, and a well-rounded approach to education, including athletics, arts, and music. In addition to these opportunities, international students also have the opportunity to take our English Language Development course. The ELD course is designed to help second-language students effectively use English in all areas, but especially in their academic courses. Class instruction focuses on English in the four basic communication skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The ELD class also includes a support component where students receive help and guidance in completing written and oral assignments from their other classes. Important Information for Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) - If interested in being considered eligible for the domestic tuition rate, please see the following criteria:
  • Must hold a valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • Must show proof of U.S. residency for a minimum of one year and have lived with one or both parents in the U.S.
  • Must score 85 or higher on the TOEFL
OLu does not establish any exclusive relationship with agencies for the application process. Students are expected to submit their application materials with a parent or guardian.
