核心提示: Required tests Case Western Reserve University requires first-year students to take either the SAT or ACT The writing section

Required tests Case Western Reserve University requires first-year students to take either the SAT or ACT. The writing section of ACT and the essay section of the SAT are each optional. We do not require SAT Subject tests.
Test scoring CWRU policy is to “superscore” our students’ test results, which means the university takes into account our applicants’ best scores on each section of the SAT and ACT, respectively. If you took a test more than once, you will be evaluated on the highest score you received in each individual section of the exam.
The redesigned SAT CWRU will accept both the “old” and “new" versions of the SAT for the class entering in fall 2017. For students who submit results from both versions of the SAT, CWRU will use concordance tables provided by the College Board to compare scores between test versions.
Timing for standardized tests Ordinarily, scores for standardized tests taken in November of the senior year arrive in time for students applying Early Action or Early Decision I, and scores for tests taken in January arrive in time to be considered for those applying Early Decision II or Regular Decision.
In order to ensure your application is completed and can be reviewed fully in accordance with your chosen decision plan, CWRU suggests Early Action and Early Decision I applicants complete standardized tests by the end of October. Pre-Professional Scholars Program applicants should plan to complete testing by the end of November. Early Decision II and Regular Decision applicants are advised to complete testing by the end of December.
